Looking for a quick afternoon ride? Want to ride the best dirt around? Check out our ALL NEW Quick and Dirty shuttle. We will drop you along the O’Leary trail at the end of the 411 road and as close to the top of Macduff Mountain as possible. This shuttle combines Macduff, Castle Rock and King Castle for less climbing and all the highlights of the O’Leary loop. Shuttles leave from the Upper McKenzie Community Center at 1:00PM and 3:30PM Friday and Saturday. Catch the first ride for $30 and your second is only $20! A reservation is required at this time but as this ride becomes more popular we may be able to fit in more last minute riders. This shuttle requires 4 riders to run so grab your buddies and let us know if another day work better for you.

Duration and Skill Level

40 Minute shuttle drive
1.5-2 Hr Trail time
This ride is best for intermediate to advanced mountain bikers. Riders need to be self-sufficient and expect little, if any, cell phone coverage on the trail.

“After a recommendation from a friend on the shuttle service up to the McKenzie river trail my wife and I decided to make a short trip from Bend to ride the McKenzie river trail and stay at the lodge. We arrived in the morning and the shuttle took us and our bikes up to the top of McKenzie River trail. Shuttle driver was friendly and informed us of some of the other trails to take advantage of the next time we were in town. The trail was beautiful but a bit long and technical for my wife who was on her 2nd ride of the year on her mountain bike. We stayed in the Tamolitch Cabin. It was a perfect balance of rustic with modern amenities. The rooms and amenities were well thought out to make sure the guests had an enjoyable experience in which we did. Alyssa and here husband were there to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely revisit Horse Creek soon and this time stay an extra night.” — Mike T. (via Yelp)
